New Work by Kyree-Lim Alicio Chak
Opening Reception February 20th 5:30 – 9:30
Kyree-Lim Alicio Chak explores societal issues through his artwork. Social conflicts, contemporary movements, and mental health issues, are just a few of the elements he attempts to address. His musings are ultimately translated through the lens of his large-scale multi-media art. Strongly influenced by the neo-expressionist movement Kyree communicates in vibrant colors, and encrypts messages throughout his works. There is always something to study and decode in his art, which creates a new and memorable experience with each piece.
Kyree-Lim Alicio Chak is born and raised in Tacoma and is currently studying at Pierce College in Puyallup. In conjunction with pursuing his BFA he is developing his studio craft, creating pieces that resonate with the local community and recently have gained considerable attention and notoriety over the past year. Although Kyree is relatively new to the art scene this momentum has prompted him to pursue his first formal solo exhibition at Fulcrum Gallery titled “It’s All in Your Head”.
